Raising money for Sahara group

Let's say we hold a dicing tournament.

We get 10 people, from Runegear, to sign up.
Each one must give 5m to enter.
Now everyone lines up together, 1v1, so there are 5 groups.
They each have a dice war, whoever of the pair has a higher number goes on.
Now there are 5 people left.
All rolls should be monitored in your cc.
Whoever rolled the highest in the first rounnd gets to stay out of this round and automatically goes into the next round.
So 2 groups now and they all do the same thing.
Now there are 3 people left, so whoever rolled highest this time stays out.
Now after whoever won, we have the final 2.
Once they roll and 1 wins, we give him the prize money.
He put in 5m and he wins back 40m.
For hosting this, we keep 10m which can go towards Sahara.

Suggestions/ideas welcome.

I think anyone entering is just losing money because you're keeping 10m.

They'd make more money just dicing once of their own.

You're making 8x if you win. The 10m is to help get the group Sahara back up and it's kind of a fun event for the community.

Yes but you should be making 10x or more if you win.(Every time you win you'd double your bet)

Jonathan shouldn't be looking towards the RuneGear community to help his personal group.

If anything he should be posting on the Sahara group chat page.

Sure this could be a fun event, if everyone was on at the same time and every person that lost wasn't annoyed at losing their 5m due to ridiculous odds not even worth the winning.

K I'll stop arguing then. To each his own opinion. It's true I'd argue for the event since I'm part of the group. If it helps it could be lowered, that's just an amount that we thought would be high enough for a good prize and low enough for enough people to participate in.

If you don't have the money to keep the group going then just close the group simple as that.
