I uploaded this image ( http://imgur.com/qjILH9V ) as my avatar and the GIF isnt moving . I also tried direct file upload and that didnt work , are gif's disabled ? Thanks .

I've had this problem as well, I believe you can't have a GIF as your avatar but you can have a GIF as your signature but I might be incorrect, contact a staff member and or @Philly.

Edit: Contact the user @Calm he has a GIF as his avatar, I'm sure he'd help you out.

The maximum dimensions for avatars are: 100x100 pixels.
The maximum file size for avatars is 1 MB.

If the file doesn't match the above, it's re-sized and loses its frames.

Calm helped me , the problem was it wasnt 100x100 so I resized it . Thanks for the help guys .
