question about being banned

since i dont have my xbox with me, but i noticed my account got banned today, but does that mean my console got banned too? if so i will quit
 
i don;t think so i think it could just be your account for a certain amout of days depending on what u did
 
When you sign in to your account what does the message say?
Also check the email associated with the account, it will often tell you the duration / type of ban you received.
 
It all depends on what the reason for the Ban was. In some cases, yes they both can be banned. Do you hav any Idea what you did wrong?
 
What message did you receive?

Console ban:
This console has been banned for violations of the Terms of Use. To protect the Xbox LIVE service and its member, Microsoft does not provide details about console bans. There is no recourse for Terms of Use violations.

12/31/9999 ban:
You have been suspended from Xbox LIVE. You will not be able to sign in to Xbox LIVE until 12/31/9999.

it just says ive been banned till 12/31/9999 i think its for sending "F" a FR.nothing about my console, and i cant check it since im not able to access my xbox becuase i got grounded lol

There is a possibly your console may have been banned then. Unfortunately, you will have to wait until you are off punishment to find out.

ehh i have 2nd xbox but this was my fav. since it was the star wars one (LOL) but does the ban fuck your hard drive?
 
If your console is banned I am truly sorry, That must suck.
