Program works on XP but wont open on 7?

I can install the software fine but when I open it nothing shows up
On task manager the process is open but no program is showing on XP it works fine?


I tried compatibility and running as admin. I need it for my Security system

Manufacturer software.
Pissing me off atm I need all the 16 camaras back online and recording.
 
Mind saying what it's called?

Maybe you need an older version of .NET framework.
 
Is this software that the company has told you to use?
If not then it might be a good idea to perhaps upgrade, chances are newer software will have much more capabilities.


Aswell as Factors solution, try the following:

Method 1.
Try disabling UAC and Antivirus

Method 2.
A third party application could be causing a conflict with this application.
Perform Clean Boot troubleshooting to find the root cause of the issue.

If you really need to use this software and nothing else works, try a virtual machine.

Virtual machine is not the answer. None of them worked. Hmm sorta getting paranoid. Crime is really bad around here if the whole security network is unattended then theres no point in having it.
Sensors, Camaras, Motion detectors,Shutters and automatic door/window locks wont work and lights will be unusable :/

Wont run on a virtual machine anyway:/
 
Nothing else is compatible. I will buy a new computer
 
I need 7 on at the same time. I'll buy a new PC :(.
 
Sucks to be you, but the business should beable to purchase a bog standard one for little over $200
