Problem with emails

I just bought a new domain + 1 month hosting in HostGator, and it is not up, and it's been like 10 hours since I bought it. Anyways, the emails accounts are able to send email but not to recieve them and when I put them in AIM I get an error, "correct this field*" so it's like accounts doesn't exist...

So what could I do?

Best choice would be to connect to their live chat support.
They have great support and should get your problem fixed.
 
You have set the DNS to HostGator, correct? That seems like it might be the problem, but if you have, I suggest talking to their support.
