I will not bother going into great detail, however, the likelihood of me being offered a forum team postion is very, very faint.

I would not accept an offer to be apart of any forum's forum team. I've had my fair share, and plus school absorbs my time. Forums are a weekend gig for me.

Yeah the ones are going to be sstaff are the ones who are on tge poll but haven't posted on here yet

Its the ultimate psychological game ;D

This is a pointless thread lol anyone can get moderator not only the names listed the admin will choose whoever..

I doubt any of those people listed in the poll will get it.

These are tthe ones most people say should get it lmao.
This thread isn't pointless yo its just a discussion thread in the discussion section lmao

None of the above. I'd like to see more deserving people.

I agree with @Jimmy
They should not have to prove themselves, but instead, be observed for that they do on a daily basis.
If their normal actions fit the requirements.

Popularity and activity doesn't make you a Mod. I was none of the above when I became on. The part you need to fulfill, have a sense of judging the right and wrong, experience the situations calmly, do the reports patiently and stuff like that. There were past mods who never touched reports.

You sir are correct,, it should be on how good/mature they are and if they can pull in the nessacary work needed to become a moderator. As not only they representing themselves they are representing the forums/community themselves.  Especially to new users coming in they see staff members with open scam reports (i.e @michael) they won't believe anyone in the community as a whole.

I agree. In my opinion, popularity and how many posts you have, doesn't make you suitable for a moderating position. Although it might help, as you'll know members better, there are some members who are just not fit for the role. I think that your ability to moderate calmly, and maturely makes you better prepared to handle a role as such.

P.S: I know I pretty much said what you said, I was just stating I agreed, and putting in my own words.

Activity does play a role in having a forum team position. How do you expect people to do staff duties if they're never online?

It's never easy to make a promotion.
@Michael put in so much work to get his position, making guides every week, constantly helping people, reporting posts etc. He was a very genuine staff member.
He had more moderation logs than another staff member (who had been staff for nearly 6 months) within 24 hours of his promotion.

My point is, anybody can change no matter how great they may seem at the time.

Idk about the people u listed and weren't greed and Jason already past staff lol

That is true, however I think he was talking about prior activity. For example, myself. For instance, if you and I were the only members. You didn't know how to work around anything in MyBB, you had horrible grammar, etc. but you had been here for 1 year. On the other hand, I, signed up a week ago, but I know the in's and out's of MyBB, I'm responsible with the power that's given to me, etc. then even though I've only been here for a short while, compared to you, I would probably be the better choice.

P.S: These are my words, not his.

By activity, I didn't mean spam posting or post boosting to get like 5K Posts. The user should have enough activity to be involved with the community.

Yes sir.
That's exactly how it is,  but you have to see who could accelerate then decelerate,  you have to see who has the POTENTIAL.  To represent the forums it shouldn't always matter about numbers(i. e rep)  as that doesnt show his personality it just shows he sold a bunch of stuff.  It should be about his personality and how he interacts with other members and if he sets a good example. ;o

Like @Michael he could've left the respectable way and just resigned and ask for donations (i sure as hell would've dropped him some cash lmao he was cool.)

You haven't earn't the trust off anyone here, therefore, making you a bad choice for a staff position.

Did you not just read what I said? That's a pretty ignorant statement, but alright. I'm not asking for a staff position.

It's alright. I try to point something out to him, and he immaturely gives me negative reputation points. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
