Recently since we were under that DDOS attack IP's were blocked (around 600). Now 99% of those were attacking IP's and were filtered to lessen the attack. However, our firewall might of picked up a few innocent IP's. For example, Anonymous and Roobik have already had cases of being firewalled. It's a simple procedure to un-firewall someone, all I need is the IP so I can allow it, but it's how to contact me once being firewalled which is the hard thing.
There's two options. The recommended one is to use a proxy and use our contact form with your IP address, where I will quickly allow it and then email you. I've added "Firewalled" to the list of issues on our contact form. The second option is to message @marketforumsorg on Twitter, though I can't guarantee a fast response. Or you can always email support@marketforums.org with your issue.
If you know anyone who can't access the site, when you can, please don't just say "that's weird", please just take them to the contact form or contact me for them. Remember, include the IP.
What Bree said. It may of been me there who put it manually after mis-reading the apache logs, or the firewall might of done it automatically as we do have heightened security at the moment. This could be a result of too many tabs open of MF which results in a lot of continuous connections or bad luck. Either way; it's easily, easily fixed .
It's just I need to get the message out that we will have firewall mistakes, and members don't just think we're down.
