Please HELP with iPod!

So basically, water got into my 4th gen iPod and I tried drying it off as best as I could. I press the power on button and it starts flickering (the screen) and about 5 minutes later you can barely see the screen anymore. So I left it in the sun for a while, I come back after like a half a day, to see that it doesn't even turn on anymore and the screen is just totally black. So I called Apple and they said try putting it in a bag of rice (rice helps take out moisture), so I just did that and they said wait around 2 days. If it doesn't work by then I have to pay $100 to get it fucking fixed, which IMO, is a total ripoff and most likely won't happen. So I'm hoping in 2 days that it will be back to normal, if not I'm screwed. Any suggestions on how I can get it back to normal without paying? I really need my iPod or my activity on FK and the internet will be going down.

TL;DR: water got in my iPod and I want to get out and get my iPod running normal again without having to pay anything.

Thanks in advance,

GENIUS

That's the only method I've heard put in rice But I don't think putting it in the sun was a good idea because it overheats so you might be screwed but If I were you I wouldve grabbed a hairdryer and dry it that way but yeah GL

There really isn't a fix for this unless you learn to do it yourself somehow.

Zune, I did use a hair-dryer like 5-10 minutes after it happened. :/ No luck though on getting it working :(

Oh But The sun part for half a day wasnt such a good idea I left My Iphone in the sun once for like 10 hours got overheated got a new one

Eh, it wasn't totally in the sun the whole day. Idk.FML
