Playing xbox through a laptop

Hello all,
I am trying to play my xbox through my laptop. ANy ideas of what I need for it to have a good connection and not lag? I am unsure of all of this. Thank you

I've seen a tutorial on this before, you will need a HDMI to a usb cord, I have one of these you can easily buy one off of amazon.
