Guys, sign this petition

Did you know that millions of kangaroos are slaughtered in Australia every year to make soccer shoes (or football shoes for the more enlightened of us)?

If that isn’t sad enough many times baby joeys are found in the dead mothers’ pouches after they are killed and then meet the end of their life by being stomped on, beaten with sticks or smashed against vehicles because they serve no use.

Signed. If I had to make a specie go extinct, it would be the human specie. We do nothing but make this planet a bad place for every other living organism out there.

Sometimes I just wonder if they would like their skin cut off while they are still alive. Same with Japanese with the dolphins and whales...
 
I actually own Kangaroo soccer cleats. Best cleats I have ever owned. Only cost $200.
 

Wtf? We do the same thing to animals, that's how we get our meat.
 
Stop the slaughter of kangaroos.. Why? Unless you're a vegetarian you really have no place to try to stop the slaughter of anything. Animals have been used to produce since the dawn of time. Whether it's food, clothing, or in this case. Soccer cleats.
 
The only time I disagree with the slaughter of any animal is if it is endangered or if they aren't using all of the animal. An example is people cutting off shark fins for shark fin soup and then throwing the shark back into the ocean where it dies. Another example is killing elephants just for the ivory.

If they are killing the kangaroos just for the fury then that is just wrong. If they are using all of it that is fine. If there is a baby kangaroo, that is sad and they definitely shouldn't kill the baby for no reason. :\
 

I agree, to a certain extent. Sure, killing for food and survival I can understand. But killing an animal to make some shoes just to kick a ball around in is cruelty, in my book. Especially when there are alternatives.
 

I think of it like this: if we were on the bottom of the food chain, animals would not be merciless to us
