hey guys i just set up a paypal... and i was wondering if i need to have a credit card on it... also what does it mean to verify your paypal, and what is the whole point of doing soo

Debit or credit and PayPal charges $3 so it can leave a 4 digit code in your statement so you can verify your account.

Yeah people can give you money, but you cannot send any money. So its useless to use unless you link a bank account, credit card, or debt card. If you click that link I sent you, all you have to do is click register, and fill it out, wait a couple days, and than you are set. They will send you a debt card free, and everything.

Well if you verify your paypal you can do alot of stuff such as buying things on ebay,and other online shops, but there are ways you can get a bank or credit card without asking you mom, i can help you out if still need just pm me.

Yes that is correct. Why would they frown on you. It shows that you are mature rather than anything else. Unless you are extremely mature I would think they would be proud of you for taking the step on your own.

Also the bank account I refereed to you, you cannot get a negative balance, with that being said there is nothing you can do to damage your credit or anything.
