Paypal Help -$300

Well paypal just called me and said I need to get my paypal out of -300 dollars. Someone told me before they aren't allowed to take money out of my bank account but they called me and said I need too.
So is that them telling me i HAVE too? or are they just saying I need too but I don't really have too?

I was thinking I don't HAVE to pay them back the -300, but they are making it sound like I need too.

well they can't take the money on their own but they expect to be paid for the negative balance.
 
Go to your bank and tell them your paypal has been compromised. They will make a payment block thing for the exact amount of negative balance you have. (Make sure you know the exact balance) then paypal will never be able to take that balance out of your bank and just make a new paypal.
 
After a few weeks/months if they don't take it out of your bank they will hand you over to a collection agency, who will probably bug you a lot more and possibly take legal actions
 

Are you sure this can work? Can you explain more in detail what I have to do and what to tell them?
 
I'm going to bump this as I need help as to what exactly needs to be done or what can be done.
 
Eh I've been in -40 for a few months. So far all they've been doing is calling me repeatedly. If at some point they get a collection agency involved, I would go ahead and pay it.

But as of now, you should be fine.

If they hand you over to a collection agency and you still don't pay you could have some pretty bad credit rating at your age. You might have to call equifax or who ever to confirm if you were on their "bad debts expense"
 
The can't just TAKE the money from you, because A) you may not have that in your bank account (or as far as they know) or B) it is thievery and illegal to just take money. That is why they are asking you to pay it.
 

Quit it with your accusations if you can't back them up.

Its not illegal and its not thievery. Read through their TOS
 

Well they even told me they couldn't do that.
 
I would just pay them back, I was once in negatives luckily however it was only $30 but I paid it off quickly to avoid problems... And if your a minor possibly your guardians could be held responsible if they decide to take it far...
