Opinions on giving PayPal fake ID.

Well I was limited with $400 in my paypal, and they asked for deatails so I gave it to them.

Now they want some ID; passport.

What is your opinion on me changing the 9 to a 0 on my date of birth, then scanning it and uploading it?

Please don't trash, I'm just looking for help/suggestions/opinions.
 
It would probably work, they don't really care enough to double check to see if you have fucked with the DoB

I know, I've googled it a lot and gone on different forums. But what else am I suppose to do? Wait 180 days? Or even 3 years?
 
I have 5 paypals, and I keep them all below 25$, so I don't ever have to do this stuff..

But I don't see the problem with changing a number haha

Say that you're an underage user and your parent will have to verify the information for you. Telling the truth is always good with PayPal. Your account may get closed but you still get the cash.
 
when you scan your ID card or drivers license, there is a hologram on the card that will tell paypal if you messed with anything in photoshop. Its highly visible and easy to tell if you tampered with your ID/drivers license. Plus it's considered identification fraud which is punishable by law. So no. I would not even try to attempt it.

At the end of the day I would just have your parents call paypal and see what they can do from there. It's not worth lying about your age. This would be a stupid thing to go to prison for but they can do it.

I get you, but I was told if they find out I'm 16 they can close the account work all my money in it

which is why you need to tell paypal the truth. You also need to tell your parents so paypal has a bank account to send the money to rather than them trashing it. Honesty is really the only way you will be able to keep this $400 of yours.
