One Act Play

Well Thursday we competed in our district competition for One Act Play. Our play is called Handler and its about a guy who was drunk and ran over his daughter and just gets out of jail at the start of the play. His wife is still mad at him for everything he put her through. They are Pentecostal and thats my role, a congragant.

During one of the church scenes the main guy named Jordi gets bit by a snake in the neck and dies. His wife doesnt let them fix him. During his funeral he comes back to life. He ends up running into the forest because he feels diffrent then everybody and has a run in with the devil.

In the end he learns he has to forgive himself about what he did to his daughter before anybody else can forgive him. The play is really diffrent but really good (from what people tell me)

I didnt get a acting award but we had 2 people in All Star Cast and both of our main actors got Best Actor and Best Actress. We compete at Area in a couple of weeks where 5 school including us have been to state atleast once within the last 2 years. One Act takes up alot of my time but I love it

Anybody else act or is in One Act at their school?

That's an interesting storyline. I'd like to be Jordi tbh. Sounds like a nice role. Gl man, make sure your team/group doesn't eat before they area play, they might get nervous and puke everywhere.
