Now Recruiting​

Requirements:
  • Must be a member of MF for at least 1 week.
  • Must have at least 300 posts.
  • Must have a warning level of 0%
  • No spamming/low quality posting.
  • No open/unresolved scam reports.
  • No flaming of members.
  • You may have negative reputation, however, it will be reviewed to make sure it's not a severe amount.

Introduction:
We are the "The Defenders" and our goal is to defend MF from a multitude of different things. We protect from spammers, flamers, scammers and low quality posting. We are more than just another typical group, we are a brotherhood.
We are governed by three main ideas in this group those ideas being: Honor, Loyalty, and Respect. We vow to teach others about specific areas on MF in a HQ fashion.

The Defenders Brotherhood Code:
  • Defenders respect authority and with that, pledge to defend it.
    As a defender, you will be professional and uphold the rules of the forum.
  • Defenders rely on loyalty within the group.
    As a Defender, you will pledge to remain true to your fellow brothers and pledge to rid the forum of LQ, Scammers, and Leechers.
  • Defenders have a proud sense of respect, and hold themselves to a higher standard..
    As a Defender, you must have respect for yourself before you can respect others as your equal. You must hold yourself to higher standards, before you can judge others.
  • Defenders think before speaking, for once words are spoken, they cannot be taken back.
    As a Defender, you are bound by your words, choose them wisely.

What to do after you apply:

1. Do not private message leaders if your application hasn't been dealt with.
2. If you have any questions feel free to post them here.
3. Every application will be dealt with in a timely manner.
4. If declined feel free to reapply in 2 weeks unless instructed otherwise.
5. If accepted read all of the stickies before posting.

If your Accepted, you must wear our userbar and signature for at least 1 week.

Remember joining a group is strictly a privilege, leaders are not obligated to accept new members.​

Interesting. Once I reach 300 Posts, I will definitely be joining this group.

When MF gets larger, this will most likely be an official group.

It is, kinda. That's pretty much what the Support group is here for.

Skills: I believe my grammar is pretty decent, I have some MyBB experience, I'm an NLP Practitioner (Master Practitioner in a month or so), I'm respectful.
How can you contribute: By keeping up the hard work to keep MF safe, and a nice community.
Reason why you want to join: I like the idea, even though it's really similar to the Support group.
Why do you deserve to be a Defender?: I'm in the Support group? And I can be fun.

Why do you deserve to be a Defender?: I'm well known here and deserve to help out more than what I already do and contriibute more.

I view this as a bit different than support and if anything, would say it's similar to The Alliance group on HF.
I want this to be a HQ group full of HQ members that can partake in different areas of the forum and keep it safe from what I stated above.
I think that support is here to help others around the forum, not defend it. I would say we are kind of the "market / forum police".

Same as me. The support group will be different than this group as you stated phreak. While the support group helps the members out and are Junior mods, we are catching flamers, spammers, rep abusers ect... Great idea for a group as well. Hope i'm accepted to.

How can you contribute: I can contribute by being active, helping the forums out by reporting rule-breaking posts/threads and contributing to the forums as I do right now.
Reason why you want to join: I want to join the forums because I want to help the forum out.
Why do you deserve to be a Defender?: I deserve to be a defender because I constantly report rule-breaking posts(usually on a daily basis), and because it's already proved that I'm HQ by being in the Support group.

I would like to clear something out firstly.

The Support group is a group of members that helped the forum out a lot and they could graduate to a higher rank, such as being a moderator or site staff. The Defenders is a group in where all the helpful and HQ members can be apart of.

The Alliance did a lot of teaching on HF, With classes etc. Perhaps this is something you can add to this group Phreak.

How can you contribute:Because I am somewhat of a blackhat I can use my knowledge of thoughs skills to help protect MF. I have good grammar I can correct others and help others. I can help others with there posts, and basicly anything that I know I will share.

How can you contribute: I can contribute by helping maintain a friendly atmosphere among the group - I'd also be able to bring many useful resources and a wide range of knowledge in different topics (especially the ones I have mentioned above) to the group and its members, I'm always glad to help those in need without a regret. I have done many services for this community such as giveaways and tutorials and I'd be glad to make some especially just for members of this group. I can also bring more activity into the group, I like to think of myself as a high quality member, and that I always make wise decisions in any type of topic that is mentioned.

Reason why you want to join: I think that it'd be a good idea to join a group with people I already know and like - especially my twin brother. Also I'd like to be part of the group since the start so then I can be an oldfag in a few months.

Why do you deserve to be a Defender?: Because I think that every single member in this group is a great influence, and I'd love to be just like you guys - I try my hardest with quality as I always aim for my posts to be even higher than what people call "high quality". I also think that I can bring useful knowledge and resources to this group like I described in the field above.

There was some grammatical errors in your application and at the moment, I'm looking for specific skills that I need to make sure we cover the entire forum. It's nothing personal, mate and you'll be accepted eventually. :grin:

Haha ok, that damn spell checker is not showing up anymore and now I get alot more errors. I can't fix what I say wrong nor am I going to reread threads over and over again. But yes I will apply later.
