Legend said:If it is genuine, then there'll undoubtedly be inflation for the commonly botted goods. It's simple economics - the demand will exceed the supply due to a decrease in the quantity of the factors of production, in this case labour.

Legend said:Sorry. Basically, a factor of production is something which affects the productivity of an economic system, such as a firm. In the case of RuneScape, the factor of production in question is labour, i.e. the number of bots. Because botters are being deterred by threats of widespread banning, the quantity of botters will decrease, hence reducing the productivity of the RuneScape economy. Let's take the example of a commonly botted commodity such as sharks. Because the number of sharks being caught has been decreased but the demand for the sharks is perpetual, the price will rise (inflate) - there is more demand than before for each and every shark.
