Krish said:What are you trying to say in this song? I can't decipher any of the lyrics because the sound is getting cluttered in the way. Also I'm not too sure if it's just me but it sounds like a speech is trying to be read and you put sound over it and called it a song.
This is just constructive criticism, don't take this to heart.
I suggest trying to make the lyrics a lot clearer and working really really hard to make the beat better.
Also, why is Steve Jobs the cover art?
hurt said:They aren't lyrics, it's a cutout from a Steve Jobs speech about his cancer that he gave at Stanford. Beat sounds fine to me, it's exactly the way I wanted it to be. Just not your style I suppose. The speech was just supposed to be some background and made the title have a meaning. Steve Jobs being the cover art will make sense to you now, hopefully.

Sorry if I'm being rash, I'm just curious as to what it is boiled down to.
"For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself, 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' If the answer has been no for too many days in a row, then I know I need to change something."

these are like the same thing
slowed down samples, a few notes with that forced percussion on top
Also you're trying way too hard to be like other people
make your own sounds, modify, distort your samples, change them around, anything, try to be unique
that's my opinion

hurt said:I didn't use the same samples in Time as I did in Jobs. Time is just Only Time by Enya with a hat roll added, as well as I fucked with the channels and used some VSTS.
Time has the same hat-roll I think, but other than that they don't share anything.
I'm not really trying to be like anyone else, just trying to produce stuff in the same style of music that I listen to, I fuck with my samples a lot, and use some obscure stuff as samples.
Thanks for the feedback though, didn't expect it from someone on here.
