new posts

im having trouble with the new posts section in the user bar when i click on it it comes up with SOME of the new posts but i can read all of those and then go to todays posts and their are still some that are new but have not come up in the new posts page, any ideas on why this is hapening.

New posts only show up from the last time you visited, todays posts show upto 24hours of posting.
I do miss quite alot of posts sometimes, and as far as im aware there is no "unread posts" options.

ok so is it posible to have an unread posts option? that would make it a hole lot easyer
