Needs something added to it. It's way to basic. I love basic looks but if I didn't know it was a photography logo from the title of this post, I would be clueless. I love the simplicity though..
Looks like one of the image sharing website logo forgot what it was called. Anyways Looks pretty good. Try make different versions of it. Like inverted, with text, color, ect.
Its a bit boring, maybe try add more things to it.
Not saying that you didnt make it, but add more things to it because its so simple which is good of course, but you can find this alot of places in the internet.
The fact that Skosh couldn't tell it'd be a photography logo is depressing.
Anyways, it's nothing special. A simple shutter is an overused concept. Especially when there are hundreds of designs that look just like your's. Think outside the box, or do what Skosh said and add to it.
Keep going, Sir. You have potential. Make something that truly stands out.
