New people on FK [The Works]

The new 2014 kids are completely idiotic when it comes to some things on this forum.

The one big thing that I always see when it comes to new kids that try too hard to be active on this forum is one thing, groups. New kids try to be in every group on this forum, I used to be that way too. I remember when I was in 15 groups. Now I only try to be in one or none, groups are not everything on this forum. Yeah being in two or three is acceptable, but if you are in, almost every group, there is a problem. I think having all those userbars on your profile is hideous, same with having so many awards.

Awards. Yeah everyone likes awards, but in my opinion, having too many awards is disgusting looking, I try to keep my awards 15 and lower, not even. I see all these new kids having more than three rows of awards and its gross, that goes for almost all users, its just hideous, unless they are official forumkorner awards, then its fine. If they are all user owned awards, there is a problem.

Posts. I remember when I thought posts were the ultimate thing to get the best of. I remember when I got 1,800 posts in 1 and a half weeks.I went from 80+ posts a day to maybe 10 or 5. Yeah posting is good, but there are some kids on here that I see post way too much random irrelevant crap. Just for their post count.

Reputation. Ha, reputation, I remember when reputation was hard to get, oh wait it never was hard. Getting reputation is as easy as finding a penny in your coin jar.... All these new kids rep4rep is hilarious, I remember I did rep4rep for maybe a day and I got like 500 reputation, until I found out reputation is worthless, somewhat worthless.

Upgrades. Upgrades are fine.

Administration and Moderating team? They are fine and doing their job.


New kids, just grow up.

@Beware did you not see that I admitted to being like that. I remember when I was annoying, but I learned fast, there are kids that joined even in December and they still spam and try-hard.

You idiots bitch about this every year. Shut up and get over yourself. The forum will forever evolve, get used to it. Of course the new kids will be more immature and less educated in this scene than past members, Philly is aiming at a different audience.

Without those people that are "post whoring", "rep4repping", and "joining too many groups" this forum would have died a long long time ago. They are what keeps this forum alive and helps pay for expenses.

Should be thanking them and not hating on them.

Well I'm a 2014 member... But this is shit we will hear every year on FK. Next year, we will all be bitching about 2015 members. I think its a great thing for fk to be getting new members every year. Its growth and you and I can agree that the growth of fk is something you and I can be proud about.

As far as the rep goes, I think rep needs to be trashed. Its a worthless system and people abuse it.

I hate these kinds of threads. How exactly can you make a thread stating all members that joined later are dumb as shit, then say you were aiming it at just a few people? Lol.
In all honesty, not a lot has changed, just progressed. The only thing that's truly changed is your viewpoint.

I think you didn't clearly undersand the point. Obviously new members are needed, that's a given. But rep4rep, spamming, trolling, etc isn't going to grow anything. I can barely take this place seriously anymore.
