someone i know was scammed to one of those instagram get rich schemes is there any way to recover the money. they didnt link it to their paypal. is there any way to file a police report since it was 300 dollars
 
Try to chargeback on them. I don't know if the police will mess with it if its 300 dollars.

If it was a GreenDot MoneyPak, I don't think there's anything you can do. Go search on Google.
