I know it's probably wrong section, but I need to know like, now, what the pros and cons of ubuntu compared to Win 7.

Can I still play RS, and steam games on ubuntu?

I heard that Ubuntu also uses less RAM, is that true?

Oh, wow, I heard that Ubuntu 10.44 had better performance though.

I saw someone say that Minecraft ran better on ubuntu.

Just reread the thing, and the charts, seems Ubuntu is better.

I use Ubuntu on my laptop and win7 on my desktop.

You can still run java applications (runescape, RSBuddy, Minecraft) but stuff like steam is really buggy (With wine). I'm only using win7 on my desktop because I need steam D:

So, would you rate Ubuntu better for gaming other then steam?

You can rune steam, but it's a bit hard to set up. Automatic coding pretty much summarized it.

Minecraft runs very nicely on Ubuntu though.

Ubuntu uses much less RAM than windows. It will not reliably run any non-java game unless it was developed crossplatform.

Windows is better for gaming on Steam, etc. Java works perfectly on linux though so Runescape and Minecraft work perfectly. Pretty much what Automatic Coding said.

Alright, I don't play much steam anyways. Does Photoshop run on Ubuntu do you know?
