You could just build your guy up as a good blocker and rebounder and that would be alot of help. Make him a tall guy.

I have not even started my career yet I only played online like twice and got like 6 points total lol.

Since you havent started you can just make a tall guy to play inside defense. The only mode i enjoy playing online is myplayer blacktop.

I got a SF, he's 6"10
He has good defensive rebounding, blocks, steals, vert, dunks, quickness and speed, and he will make the majority of the shots within the key
