When I first joined RuneGear, it was dead.
There was about 20 posts a day, and I thought 'fuck this.'
I left the forum for about 1 month.
I was talking to @[The Elite] on MSN (be jelly) and he asked me to join. I tried to register (forgetting I had an account) and it said my e-mail was in use. I told him the issue and he said I had already registered, so I thought, oh right. Got my password back and logged in.
What a difference, the forum was a lot more active just 1 month after I had joined, it was like a miraculous turn-around.
At the time, @[The Elite] and @[Natha] were admins and they were both welcoming.
@[+ad.Vanquish] was my only real friend on RuneGear for quite a while, and helped me a lot. I thank you for that
I continued talking to @[The Elite] for quite some time and asked if there was anything he needed help with, and I suggested a RuneScape achievement forum - He implemented it quickly and I got to work making a rules sticky - http://runegear.net/showthread.php?tid=720 - Daamn, 13th August 2010
@[Hate] was a good friend of mine, and still is, he helped me on the forum as I was quite new to MyBB and always defended me when people flamed me for asking simple things (for them) but at the time, was quite tricky for me.
@[RuneScape] joined and we bonded. I'm not sure if he remembers, as it was such a long time ago, but myself and him were and still are great friends. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, seriously. I wish you were my brother.
When @[Immortality] joined I was just running a competition to win RuneGear Elite. He was one of the two winners, and I saw something in him. He stuck out like a sore thumb, I knew he was going to develop into a great member, and boy was I right. Chris, you're a chill dude and when people get to know you, they'll find that out. I'll always love you
@[Oxide] - Chris, I love you in every homo way possible. You're my dad and you're such a chill guy. You're nice, friendly and just plain awesome. Our Skype conversations consist of lots of love and lots of hearts
@[Mike] - Strict but chill. Nothing more to say. Top guy and has a heart of gold
@[The Elite] - Still not sure of your name, but who cares. You've made this forum something special unlike any other. I commend you for that. You genuinely care about the members and not just the money and that stands for something. We have had some decent conversations on MSN, and even RuneScape. Most people don't know, but we actually had a 1 hour conversation on RuneScape in public in-front of 200 F2P noobs about the site, while The Elite was plugging the forum of course
Took about 30 minutes to write this, so you could at least leave a comment, thank you.
