My take on the future of rsbotting

I want to make this statement before hand, I was an rsbuddy fag, I believed everything they told us, I believed Jacmob and Arbiter could defeat everything that JaGex could throw at them.

.
JaGex has finally taken a stand and changed botting forever, the updates they have done are far beyond the imagination that many bot developers had in mind and they continue to update their software in the same consistinency as the "bot-nuke". I am not saying bots will never come back but their numbers will be significantly reduced and much higher ban rates, the botting will never grow to %60 again. The fact is they(bot developers) never doubted JaGex's skill to combat them, however JaGex got caught up in not caring. However; JaGex has done a 180 and got their hearts back into the game, not the money. They have certainly showed this and I think this will continue to be the case for a long time, Runescape was onto a path of being ruined and they have not only turned off the path, but are speeding the other way.

But I would like to close on this note.

JaGex has truly done what we never thought they would, they stopped being a company and started being true programmers again.
And I, for myself in hoping to be a computer programmer one day would like to salute them, and hope I may too keep the good spirit they have now shown.

Full time Java Game Developers > teenage bot scripters.

Pretty much sums it up, glad we have someone that is actually taking Java in college, and not one of those teenage bot scripters who think they are better then JaGex.

And I thought they'd already stretched java close to its maximum capabilities... xD
Really though, I think they've officially fucked botting up the ass and given it a creampie to top off.. speaking metaphorically of course...

They have, and I even had scripts on rsbuddy, and I would like to say, fuck botting. I just started botting about a year ago. Fact is playing legit this past few days has brought me back to my childhood and the good old feel of runescape, which I was so dearly missing, where I would stay up late to finish the quest, or just play all weekend in general. I can see I really only started botting because all they bots there were, if they were cheating why shouldn't I? Really loving it now to be honest.

Also, in my mind Java has no limits, Java is what you make of it and that's just my newb java coding talking.

It feels good to see botting fucked. Even if bots are jumpstarted again, it is illegal, and they will be lawsuited. Good fight botting, but in the end, as DRHU said, Full Time Java Devs beat Teenage Bot Scripters.

I think runescape will be getting much much better in the coming months, and I look forward to be being a legitimate player.

I don't even care if the botting element comes back, i just want something where i can log into multiple accounts without having to click extremely fast at the same time.

If they did this 4 years ago they would never of had to take away free trade and wildy.

One thing I just have to say about the future of botting... It WILL be back.

I don't know if any of you were around for ARYAN and SCAR and the early forms of "intelligent" bots. SCAR was a hyped up autoclicker that used colors to click. Aryan was an original form of "rsbot" that wasnt as functional; You had a few choices: tut island, rune mysteries, powerchop, powermine and that was it.

Jagex soon found a way to start monitoring clicks and detect repetitive motions. There were forms of clickers that came out that changed the spaces it clicked in by micropixels in any direction to lessen the likeliness of being caught.

But paths were then detected and random events used to break clickers. Thus RSBot was born. Intelligence of random paths and door clicking, ID clicking and a more well rounded bot with more scripts and more botting than before. Unfortunately more random events came to combat bots, some more detection on money making items and random screenings of areas.

Scion, kbot, rsbot, all those minor injection bots were used but not widely. Nexus came and stole the show with a newer breed of intelligence and was oh so yummy with more random solvers than rsbot, more randomization, stability and failsafes.

We then hit RSBuddy and Powerb(ot/an) which upgraded everything about botting, with cloud based scripts, security, algorithms, api, smartpaths and the lot.

In short, jagex has taken make approaches on taking down bots little by little, they nuked a technology than will soon be manipulated to bring botting to a newer revolution.

(For everyone, history lesson :D)

I am actually quite proud of them for doing this.
You can say what you want about them doing it earlier but at least they did do it.
Everything that was fun in this game is back for me, apart from the old commentators.
Nobody will beat skychi's reviews
Or noobshow
hell even sladeakakevin made me lol xD

I am very proud of Jagex as well, and I honestly idc it took them so long. Playing legit is bringing back the good ol' days for me..

Hellz yeah! Hopefully the economy will balance itself out though!

Don't get me wrong all the people that made this stuff are very smart very nice people but you can't go agaisnt a major company like Jagex with a unstable bot
