My Review on the Brackish Blade

Alright so I decided to help fill you all in with some information about the Brackish Blade. This is made 100% by me (except for all quoted info).

So first of all, I wanted to say that the price in the G.E for the Brackish Blade is not the purchase rate. I bought my Blade for 1.37m in the G.E instead of it's 300k rate. Too be honest, I think this is worth it.

The blades stats are the same as the Dragon Scimitar, but it hits more often from my experience and it doesn't require any quests to be completed, making it ideal for pures. It also has a much better special attack.

The hits are fairly decent, having a max hit of about 330 with 78 strength.

The looks of the weapon are very dark and evil-looking. I notice how well it looks with full dragon or bandos, as well as black d'hide.

Some interesting quoted facts:

"The Brackish blade has a special attack, 'Rum'ify. It doubles the chance of hitting, and adds 2.5% of the damage dealt to your Strength, Attack and Defence, draining 75% of the special attack meter. If the target is low on health and the hit is fatal, even with low damage, the player's stats will still be boosted according to what the hit would have been. As this special attack visibly boosts stats, it of course does not stack with the effects of any potions or any other boosts. It is likely to hit 250+"

"Because Korasi's sword and Chaotic weapons are harder to obtain and have higher requirements to equip, this weapon is of great use to players fighting monsters weak to stab, such as dragons."

All in all I would rate this weapon the following:

Strength of weapon: 8/10 - The weapon is high-class when it comes to one-handed weapons

How Idealistic the Weapon is: 9/10 - Requires no quest, easy to obtain, one-handed, and not overpriced

Pricing: 7/10 - For the G.E price, it's hard to obtain without maxing the price at about 1.4m, but the weapons quality makes up for it.

Looks: 8/10 - The weapon goes well with high defense level Armour such as full dragon, bandos, and black d'hide. It doesn't stand out to much and doesn't clash with the other colors.

All in all I highly suggest you get this weapon, as it is very powerful and is useful for pures and people who are too lazy to do some quests or gain something to get it.

My overall score is: 8/10

Thanks for reading the review!

Excellent review. I completely agree with all aspects of your opinion.
I advise anyone with the required levels to purchase this weapon.
You won't be disappointed.

Thanks Maxie! It took some time to experiment with the weapon, and to write this review. All feedback is thanked

What is your opinion on the fluctuation of the price of the Brackish Blade?
Do you believe it is going to crash, or in fact, rise.

Most likely rise, as the demand for it is going up. According to the runescape wiki, the drop is 1 out of every 200 monsters that carry the weapon, which is very rare.

Would you not say that the price would be dropping as more and more players complete the quest therefore unlocking the ability to fight the Rum Pumped Crabs?

Look at it this way. If you look at things like abyssal demons who drop a whip about 4 times every 7-8 hours, thats equal to about 40-50 per drop, which in my opinion beats the drop of the Brackish Blade any day. And not only that, but the cost of a whip and the cost of a blade are very different.

Well you have to consider that Abyssals are overcrowded while the Rum Pumped Carbs aren't.

Very true. A quick fix to this if you aren't botting is to go on a german world or a different language. There is literally no one ever there. If you are botting, I would have to hand that point to you

I bought one of these yesterday for my pure that didnt do MM and is 60 attack with 99 str. The blade is very good.

The best combo IMO is to spec when they have low HP, then switch to DDS and KO (b/c dds has 25% spec and Blade has 75%)

I bought one for 1.5m and I think it's worth it bc now I don't have to do mm

It is a pretty good weapon, I think it will replace the d scimmy in no time.

So long as the price goes down. D scimmy is 1/10th the price

i agree with you, but i still find it unfair how its the same stats as a dragon scimmy and you dont have to do any quest's. It makes people who have done MM look like nothing now...

This is true, but some people would rather do the quest than spend 1.4m
