A band called Iron & Wine, chilled rock - really nice, relaxing, emotional music.
A rapper named Jaz-O, Hip Hop - The man who taught Jay-Z how to rap, should check out 'Originators', him and Jay-Z smashing it triple time to a funky beat.
Gramatik, Hip Hop - A sick hip hop producer, his beats are so musical that they do not even require a spitter! Funky, jazzy, bluesy hip hop bangers.
There are many other great artists that I can think of off the top of my head: -

Rock - Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Guns N' Roses, Metallica.

Reggae/Dub - Bob Marley, King Tubby, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Black Uhuru, Peter Tosh.

Hip Hop - Big Daddy Kane, Big L, Percee P, Kool G Rap.

Indie/Alternative - Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, The Libertines, Babyshambles.

A lot of these are well know and you probably know most of them. Another nice artist I have recently discovered is 'Nick Drake', nice chilled acoustic guitar music, My personal favourite by him is 'Cello Song', which, as you may guess, also features a cello

Yeah, I know it brings it all together, but now whenever I hear the song I think of two gay dudes going at it.

@got I never thought of that, I just think of religion and they way it works
