Just moved from Windows 7 to the latest version of Ubuntu, and wow, it's good, I didn't think I would love it as much as I am, it does everything windows does, but 10x better, what else is there to look forward to.
You can dual boot the PC if you want too, I have mine dual booted, I would go fully over to Ubuntu, but I have San Andreas Multiplayer on my Windows side, which I need as I'm a Leader of a server, stunts-unlimited.com
Ubuntu's awesome. But, the only problem is you won't be able to run most of the files of windows, like apps, music files, etc. You need WINE for that. I have tried Ubuntu, Ed ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint and lots of other Linux Distro's and must say, linux really rocks. Much faster and useful. Infact, learning to use linux might be more easier while gaining certifications like Red Hat Certified Engineering.
