Learn More with iPad
I
n order to help students with their work, iPad, just like other Apple computers, comes with the iWork applications. These applications help students do their homework and assignments. iWork consists of three main applications; Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Keynote is an application that helps students make slideshows to support their presentation. With just a few taps, students can make great presentation with cinema-quality transitions, animations, and effects. Students can also make formatted documents using the Pages application. It provides advanced layout tools with the simplicity of touch screen feature on iPad. So they can create all kinds of documents, including newsletters, reports, brochures, and flyers, using just their fingers. iPad also comes with the on-screen smart keyboard, so they do not have to buy another keyboard to type. If they need to make spreadsheets, they can use Numbers to create tables and charts, add photos and graphics, and enter and edit data with just a few taps. If students need more specific applications related to the subjects at school, they can download it from iTunes store directly from their iPad. There are thousands of applications for learning on the Apple Store, and some of them are even free to download. App Store gives many subject choices so that the students can choose many applications related to subjects they want to learn, such as English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Art, and also Health and Physical Education. For example, if they want to learn about mathematic formulas, they can download the Math Ref application, or if they want to learn about English idioms and phrases, they can download Idioms. Some of them are free, and there are also more than 200,000 other applications on the store.

and you need to pay for all the applications, yes?

I don't need an iPad for school. I got pen and paper and a calculator.

Same as meneer. No need of ipad for school.
Good for them who like to work in it and rich. I cant afford ipad

I got me a laptop already. If I need a device for school for Word or Powerpoint I prefer my laptop anyway. My friend has a iPad and he also uses it for school but he says it sucks anyway because making Word documents sucks with the on-screen keyboard. He can type way faster on a laptop so he's selling his iPad and buying a new laptop from the money .
