Which system do you believe in? A system that has an elected official represent the nation, or an unelected figurehead to represent the nation?

Personally, I'm not a supporter Constitutional Monarchist. I like the fact that my head of state is non-partisan, but it drawbacks only enacts laws that are approved by the people (via Parliament in my country).

I feel having a Monarch creates less animosity towards the head of state. For example, about half of Americans approve of Obama, about half dislike him; simply on party lines. With a Constitutional Monarch, your animosity is directed towards the law makers, not the head of state; who's role is to represent the entire populace..

i feel as if it is more fair to have a elected president due to it being a 50 50 shot

I do not believe a constitutional monarchy is best for our nation (The United States). Great Britain's monarchy seems a bit pointless and redundant, since the queen doesn't do much. Our nation is too powerful and progressive to have a monarch. I do, however, believe that a republican government can have it's flaws. That being said, I feel like it is the better of the two options, in this case.
