Thats very nice of you to suggest this im from the uk and ive just done a minute of silence with my family, in memory of those who were in that tragic accident.
OT: Great thread. Have to do a moment of silence every year in school on 9/11. R.i.P every one who died on that day, and I hope their families are recovering well from their loss.

It could to some people but whatever. I dont believe the states should get a moment of silience because 3,000 people died in a terrorist attack. When the US killed over 290,000 people in the atomic bombs in japan... Not including the number of civis that got killed in iraq/afghanistian

But whatever? And terrorists haven't only killed 3,000 people. And imho, what you said is disrespectful to everyone. You are acting like nothing big happened, so it doesn't matter. The moment of silence is for the people who died, their families, and those who were affected to show everyone cares. They at least deserve that. If you want to do a moment of silence for the victims of the atomic bombs, be my guest, but don't act like nothing big happened on 9/11.
The US has killed more people in total, but we've never killed innocent people if we didn't have to. The atomic bombs were dropped in Japan to help end World War 2.
