Mods for Minecraft? Suggestions?

Well since botting died and I can't script anymore, I was think about making mods for Minecraft, but I really don't know what I should make. They don't really need to be something I would release(maybe the source), but I just need a project.

A Minecraft bot. It automatically chops down wood/makes houses/ makes mines.

Is there a way to make a start point where you can take block build what you want to make and it builds it for you. lets say you want to build a nice house, Make a portrait of what you want to to look like and the bot does it. Make another one where it does the inside the way you want it too.
That's probably not possible but I'm just shooting out idea's.

I am not talking about bots. Mods are a lot different. Yes, I could try to do the whole template thing.

Oh you could do new graphic replacements for many things.

If you're going after a huge project you should make another world of minecraft, like the nether or the.. I forget the name, it looks like heaven. Anyways it would be sick if you made like a realm with dark scary looking creatures and with rifts to the nether and normal minecraft etc.
