Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Released!

After spending three hours outside GameStop, I finally got MW3 and went home to play it. I started with the campaign, then moved to multiplayer. I really like the game, but it is way too similar to MW2. I was expecting a complete rewrite such as black ops and mw2 were. Maybe that was too much to expect. So far, I'm not very impressed with the maps. They are detailed, but they are huge and can be a bit confusing. I'm sure that will change after I get used to them. And don't forget, ice only played a couple maps out of all of them. Campaign is a bit slow so far. I'm only in it about 4-5 missions. It's your basic shoot the enemy campaign, so far, nothing new as far as cool cutscenes or anything.

yer il be getting it on thursday so we will have to have a few games together but i dont thik i will bother with the campaign until im a good level in multi

I got 30 minutes left of the download but I stopped it to install Visual Studio.
From what ive read the game isnt as big as MW2 was when that was released.

My internet has gotten worse since it went down last weekend and I cant load any web page in under 10 seconds...

No no, there are some major differences. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I am disappointed that it wasn't a rewrite.
