mobile and age...

what is the perfect age to own a mobile??? I have seen so many school students having mobile at the age of 11/12... is it good??? what is the appropriate age??

I think it's better if you give phone to those who's in high school already. I prefer that one because primary school kids shouldn't have it so soon. They will just be more interested in phones than with their books. Phones will just diverts kids attention and it's bad for me.
