MLG Events

Anyone ever been to the events? I've been to 6 mlg events and a couple other lans for Gears of War. I only played the first one. School got too important when 2 came out. I went to MLG Meadowlands 07, Dallas 07, Chicago 07, Orlando 07, Vegas 07, and Orlando 08. Then I've been to Terre Haute, Indiana a couple of time and a few locals in the state of Virginia.

Nice man. I've always really wanted to go to one for some reason.

They are awesome. They are usually held in hotel party rooms. The rooms are huge. I'm not sure if they have changed, but the last time I went, they have sections for each game. At the time it was halo 2, gears of war, shadow run and rainbow six. The sections each had like 3 rows of tables with 8 monitors and consoles back to back on each table . People are always watching you and your team play. There is also a main stage where you get up on stage and play, and behind you is a large screen that people can watch who ever is being followed. There is also a pro players lounge. You can gain enough points, by placing high in each tournament to enter that area.

I went to Orlando last year to watch Halo

I'd find it to be REALLLLLY boring.
