For math, measurements, and construction wood pencil. For every other need to write pen.

wood pencils are a waist of material, pens should only be used to sign documents, and mechanical pencils, i only like if they are metal, because it is not a huge hit on greenhouse gasses, and it will last more than a month, you could use it from kindergarten through collage, all you need is erasers and lead.

I much prefer writing with mechanical pencils over wooden pencils. Although, I hate writing with pen because my handwriting becomes much more sloppy, so any pencil over pens. Mechanical pencil > Wooden pencil > Pens

I hate wooden pencils! I usually use mechanical pencil in case i need to erase something! But if I dont have one I will use a pen.
