So theres this program called MC edit for minecraft that is really helpful. Its pretty much a mod that you can spawn stuff, delete large groups of things etc.

WorldEdit is much better, it allows you to do the same things but in-game.
It is mainly used for servers but if you download the single player commands mod it comes included.

oh thanks alot man, Can you send me the link for a server and a link for single player?
 
Yeah i find WorldEdit to be extreemly helpful, and a lot less stressful when trying to get the things EXACTLY the way you want them to.
 
Too many items is a much better version of this and MC Edit is stopping production soon anyway
