Happened to my Toshiba awhile ago. I had the screen on the bottom and the keyboard on top. Then I just took off the whole screen (Had to keep it plugged in at all times to keep it on). I just connected it to a monitor using HDMI and it worked perfectly until I got another PC.

Damn man that's rough...at least it still turns on and everything, it didn't look like there was TOO much internal damage since it turned on. At least you can get your files and shit off of it (if you need to.)
