Looking for suggestions for Official FK contests.

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I am looking for ideas on some contests to raise up some activity and get members more involved rather than just lurk. If you have any ideas please post them and I will consider doing them. The prize for the contests would be ideal to be either an on-site item or something highly desired by basically anyone but obviously not a fortune unless you have a really good idea, who knows..[/font]

I would like to see some posting contests for upgrades like you've hosted in the past I've seen some old threads and they looked quite successful.

I think something like refferal contest, we need to se e a lot new members on here.

Giveaway membership upgrades. Get a group on people that have onyx and have like 10 enter then pick 1 and give them power. Then do the same for Power to Power plus. Investor and supporter maybe just have it where the winner gets a fairly nice discount on investor or permanent supporter

Nothing to do with groups or awards (enough of those already).

Small amounts of bitcoins or even Koins? (allowing the member to buy their own upgrades perhaps or clear username, etc).
or even other cryptos.

Re-install the reported posts plugin and have a contest on the most correct reported posts in a 24 hour period.

Reward up to your discretion.

Like I said before, people grow tired of things not being done.
Small things you might think such as award requests, giving out prizes and koins, but they all add up. People stop asking and move on.
You do the fundamentals right, and people are more willing to contribute, however when it seems as though nothing is being done people adopt the 'why bother' approach.

Things you can do:

Sort out the moderator positions asap
Competitions to win existing awards and koins.
Advertise ForumKorner on social media more - maybe do a social media exclusive competition.
Maybe also look into doing some external SEO for new markets such as CSGO, Minecraft - a new niche which may spring back some more life into FK.
A concept to actually make groups worthwhile / worth something again.

The majority of threads I see are all to do with oG gamertags and the like. That being said, a lot of people have either just moved on or scammed out, which is probably why there is a lack of activity right now. Having said that, the forum still gets A LOT of activity and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't have a clue. It takes a lot of time to run and improve a forum such as this, and I hope one day I can also get this kinda activity on my own, but like I said before I believe doing the 'little things' is what really appeases members.

I hope you don't feel I am speaking out of cheek, but I'm sure theres plenty of people who also think this.

A giveaway where which ever member gets the most legit users to signup wins.

Alright so I got an idea for some giveaways.'

FK emoji or icon contest. - I know you guys did this before but this would cause motivation in members for an icon like :baller: I mean people would want one of their own.

Forum Korner T-Shirt contest - I honestly think this one in particular would be a great idea. I know you have these T-Shirts but if the person wins the contest they will get the t-shirt and if they wear it out in the public people may be interested to join the forum!

Usergroup- I honestly think this would be cool. So say if you make a usergroup named Lucky with a cool userbar and stuff and the winners of the contest get put into this group.

Sticky- If you do a contest like this make the contestants make valid reasons to why they should get a sticky. Would require motivation and activity.

sub section within social mediums- this was suggested before. I think this would be great for the people who have alot of SMs to have their own subsection (can be limited time) for their stuff.

Well everyone suggests the same things.
The best thing to do, which I would help with, would be actual items.

2010 or so Macbooks can be bought fairly cheap, Xbox Ones, PS4s, PS3s, Xbox 360s, random laptops/desktops, cellphones, posters, shirts, etc...
As for onsite, well with all the sales it's dead until you do the revamp and get rid of most of the awards/groups. So no point in further abusing a dead subject to only have the same people participate or only a few new ones.

You will need an investment but I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying entry to win something nice. I can help you if you actually want to do something like this

scavenger hunts with a choice of real/virtual items as prizes
possibly with an entry fee to enter and maybe a cash prize

gaming tournaments on xbox or pc

knowledge quizzes

I like the sounds of what @gunnar said about gaming tournaments.

I really like the website scavenger hunt idea that @gunnar has. Put some hidden link somewhere in the website and drop a couple hints as to where it may be. The prize could be koins or a free something idk. That would be fun!

What does paying you have anyhting to do with contests? I am not looking to do contests that cost me anything, and if I owed you $30 why don't you contact me in private regarding that with valid proof regarding your claims... This thread is for suggestions.... I just sent you a private message where something like this would belong if true.
