I'm aware that this may not be the best forum to ask this kind of question but I'm sure that not everyone here is a complete nerd so I'll see what I can gather.

My cousin's wedding is in early June and I want to know what I can wear that will look both nice and is fresh. I could easily wear my graduation suit and take off the jacket but it's a couple of years old and looks un-creative, if that's even a word.

If someone on this forum has a well-rounded sense of fashion, would you mind either helping me out or at least pointing me in the direction of someone or a forum that can help me find a new outfit that would stand out? I want to make a nice appearance and be noticed. Nothing over 300 dollars please. And keep in mind it going to be summer time so nothing too hot.

Informal Daytime: Dress shirt and pants, preferably a sports jacket.
Informal Evening: Suit
Semi-Formal Daytime: Suit
Semi-Formal Evening: Dark suit
Formal Daytime: Dark suit and tie
Formal Evening: Tuxedo (if invitation states "black tie") or dark suits if women wear short dresses.
Ultra-formal Evening or White Tie: White tie, vest and shirt.

Don't try to get cute with a tuxedo. A black tux with white shirt and black bow tie is the best way to go. If "Creative Black Tie" or "Texas Formal" or some sort of other vague formal description is used, then going with a tux and black shirt, no tie, might be acceptable. Also, trendier cities like Los Angeles and New York might be more accepting of breaking with tradition.
Do wear a dark suit, with a tie if the wedding is after 6 PM, and doesn't say "Black Tie."
Don't wear a tuxedo during the day time, regardless of the formality of the event.
Do use good judgment if the invitation doesn't specify the formality of the event. A dark suit and conservative tie will take you just about anywhere.

Go naked you piss head.

Nah, I kid but honestly I would have no clue.

A shirt with short sleeves, it's a wedding so. >.<

Amped seems to know what he's talking about.
But whatever you do, make sure you don't under-dress!
You can always take something off if you over-dress and are too formal, but it'd really suck to be too casual for something more formal.

True that. And FYI, Amped copied that from somewhere, that doesn't prove he knows anything.

And for everyone, I think I'm going to wear what I wore for prom but instead of the white shirt, I wear a blue or purple one with a different tie;

Good?

Indeed I did copy that lol, just seemed helpful.

Purple shirt and some sort of purple tie, like a baws :cool2:

That looks nice what you wore to prom Solidify. I think you should wear that with a black tie if you want to look really well together and formal or maybe a bright colored tie if you're directing yourself more towards fashion.

And, buy those glasses and shoes in the thread I posted and wear those .

Not for a wedding lmao

I think I'm going to stick with my tux and close this. Thanks everyone.
