I just witnessed the most retarded thing in runescape I was dicing in world 24 at a clan doing 57x2 next to edgeville bank and some guy won like a 4m wager and the host paid him out 404m by accident and accepted the trade so the guy who was meant to get 4m got 404m then the host realised and was asking him for his bank back and then the guy who got the 404m gave the host all his money back but he was just a random guy they weren't friends or anything he was just some random guy they never even knew each other and he gave him back his 404m?!!?! yeah it was quite funny would anyone here actually give a random stranger 404m back if they gave you it by accident?

Let's see... 45678904. So he had to randomly glide like 6 digits to get to 0. Or he could have gone 4m. I'm guessing it was a fake to get people over there. Kind of like sometimes people have someone in no doubling money so people come.

Well can be but there is a lot of noob guys that give money to other player without even know them :S

THats like saying somebody dropped their wallet in Detroit on the sidewalk with $200 in it, and expecting the person to find it to give it back w/o a word about it.

*shrug*

I know I wouldn't have given the money back.
 
If that happened to me, I'd just logout.

I have some morals, but I really wouldn't care at that point. It's not scamming, because he traded you the money KNOWINGLY (can be argued) that he was giving you 400m extra.

I don't understand what you're saying at all. First thing that comes to my head is the host probably lagged while typing "4000000" and typed 40, started typing "4000000" again and viola, "404,000,000".

Now yes, I don't believe this for a second, because not even a saint would be stupid enough to give back 404m ;P
 
Yeah, i'm pretty sure it was fake unless the guy is a real honest person and would of felt bad taking the extra 400m. If it was real the dicing host was a real lucky guy i can tell you that...
 

maybe he clicked all instead of x, hence 'give me back my bank'
 

I'd expect anyone on RuneScape to be smarter than to not realize they just accepted a trade without typing anything in. Just saying. I know it's a long-shot to assume things like this... but c'mon.
 


I'd like to think I would give back the money.

Surely it would be hard, but I still think I'd open a trade give back 400m.

My Runescape world doesn't revolve around Runescape Gold, it makes it a little more convenient, but the people make the game in my opinion.
