wtf is with this whole 'you must wear our userbar a few days a week' or 'you must wear userbar at all times' thing?

what purpose does it serve?

Maybe if thought about it for 2 seconds you would come to the conclusion that it was for advertising purposes

And you would be correct!

Basically to promote the group

It is an annoying rule to me as I own a group so I want to wear that UB all the time, I guess it is like @Ghost said, simply promoting there group.

i'm speaking about people in multiple groups
like, i want to wear the rich homie club userbar... a group that i'm the co-owner of. don't tell me which userbar to wear.

people will wear the userbar if they want to...and needing to promote the group? come on, everyone goes through and joins every group through usercp in their first week anyway.

plus, it's not making the group more active, is it? people will wear a userbar if it's forced or not, but forcing it is like bad sex.

i don't appreciate your sarcasm either. i did think about it for about 15 seconds... while i made this thread!

so you're saying it's necessary for walmart to brand their bags even through there's one every fucking mile?
there are a ton of groups on here, and i don't see a small amount of pixels by a post doing a whole lot.

...and yeah, for group owners it is annoying. i wanna wear my own ub, lmao.

What's the point in joining a group if you don't want to abide by the rules set by the group owner?

i generally don't join ones that have that rule.

Yeah that's a way to work around it I guess. But if a group owner really wants me to be in their group they'll add me to it, I've lost interest in trying to join groups. The only group that I truly like and glad to be apart of is the one I own.

Yeah.

Owning a group would be a good reason to be in it.
