lightning and neon

I like them but can't actually figure out what the heck is going on in them.
 
Kinda cool, but I am a person of PNGs that blend in. Also, it is overkill, too much going on.
 
I see these on both of the other sites quite frequently. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to critique these. Sorry.
 
The only I've got to criticize from PoV is that I make tags a lil' too bright.
