Can I be charged for posessing marijuana stems?
If not would they still seize them or nahh?

Marijuana is legal medically here but it is 'criminalized'
They don't take it very seriously though.

I'm actually in the process of becoming a police officer myself and if you live in a state/province where marijuana is not legal then you can still be charged for possession for just having the stems. Depending on how old you are, you can get probation if you are a minor and jail time if you are over the age of 18. In all honesty though, I wouldn't seek legal advice on a forum site, especially when the question is about narcotics. People more than likely will give you a false answer which could result in you getting in trouble with the law if you ended up listening to them. Hope I was able to clarify for you.

In my province you don't get charged unless you are carrying more than 30.5 grams of marijuana. They take it though, obviously.
Pretty sure it has to be in 1 bag though...

I was just curious if stems were considered ilegal because there's almost no THC in them.

I get it. young adults and teens smoke weed. Quite frankly I don't really care if they do. I have never smoked weed in my life but as a law enforcement officer, I'm not going to arrest someone for having a dimebag. There are child molesters and murderers that deserve to be in jail before some person that smokes weed. The most I would do on a traffic stop is confiscate the weed and delude it with water and tell them to go home. I'm not going to ruin someones life over weed. Unless they were trafficking a truck load of it.

Well even though there is no THC in them, the stems themselves are considered drug paraphernalia. So in other words, the stems are proof that you have handled marijuana at some point. At the most, they'll confiscate them from you without any repercussions.

Sadly most Police officers from any force in North America don't think that way, but hopefully there will be change.
Drugs in general shouldn't be treated criminally... we all know there not good for you but either are drugs and alchohol and they are legal.
It's only making things worse taking something people are addicted to away from them. It's wrong.
People don't start doing heroine & cocaine for fun, almost %100 of the time something has happened to a person for them to make that stupid mistake.
There's less deaths from heroine every year than both cigerettes and alchohol.

I myself only use marijuana but I believe all drugs should not be legalized but at least decriminalized.

I can agree to that to some extent. Just be careful buddy. If you don't give a reason for the cops to stop you, they will leave you alone. Lastly, be careful when seeking legal advice in the future. :] Hope I was able to help you out man.
 
The OPP aren't going to be knocking on your door anytime soon.

Stems in large quantities could potentially bring trouble, however, prosecution is unlikely.
