What about adding latest thread panel on the right side of forum like it was in the discussion lobby?

It's not a page, it's a sidebox.

I will speak to Crayo about this.
 
I've added that here before, all I got was negative feedback for it. I'll be adding a new statistic plugin soon to the bottom of the page, it will showthe top posters, latest new threads, new registered members etc.

I think it'd look cramped.
You simply need to click statistics at the bottom of the page and it shows you.

Just a waste of space in my opinion.
 
Both ideas (OP and Crayo's) are bad IMO
