I don't know what happened to my laptop.
I had both Windows XP and Ubuntu installed on it, then at school, it fell to the floor by accident. Nothing happened to it on the exterior part.
It was still on and I rebooted it to see if something happened, (it is a Vaio laptop) when it turned on again, normally, the Vaio logo came up. But it stayed there more than the normal (like 5 seconds more). Then it comes up saying "Error while reading the disk, press CTRL + ALT + DEL to reboot", I rebooted it and the same thing came up.
After a few more tries it now said "Operating system not found."
I was really scared.
Now that I'm in my house, I took my Windows XP cd for reinstallig it, and when it asked me where to install Windows (Hard Drive), none came up, it said that none were detected.
I've googled about it and entered the BIOS, but haven't been able to fix it. The problem is that it is not recognizing any hard drive.
I don't know what to do, can someone give me some help or tell me what to try? I need to this fixed :sad2::cry:

Maybe you damaged your hard drive. Try taking it out and putting back in just in case it got bumped out of place. If nothing still, you probably damaged the hard drive, or something in the interior is failing giving you this error. You will probably have to get a new hard drive. -_-

Thanks for this, but my laptop is a really old one, everything is "deep" inside it. I'd need to open it and do some more stuff.
Will do this later.
Thanks anyways...
