I feel like I never get any kudos for the things that I say that eventually help out others within the forums. Anyone else feel this way?

I wish people would use it more, since Philly put it on here for people to use, but I never get any

What are your thoughts on the kudos system?
 
Some people just don't give them out. ex: Cann!bal, he has recieved like 200+. I give them out regularly, if I even just agree with the post.
 
If something makes me laugh, or I find helpful, I give them kudos.

I swear this motherfucker has given kudos on half of this forum's posts.

But seriously, I generally only see the 'veterans' or HQ users actually using the kudos system.

YES! Exactly my point. I want to see some of the people who come on the forum and look for help to start seeing that there is a system for our help and we appreciate it if they would use the system for its intended purpose.

I remember using it on the first day I joined actually.
I had so many helpful responses that I had to kudos almost the entire thread.

But I do agree, I think there needs to be some form of 'Welcoming Page', where new users can be welcomed and directed to the forum's features, rules, and FAQ.
 

I will probably talk to Philly about something like that so we can get the newcomers more intuitive.

Perhaps make a suggestion thread about it. I'd like to hear the opinion of other users.

Not gonna lie, I think like 60% of my kudos count is from you.
 
I'm trying to get some too. It's really hard. I always make HQ tutorials and and never get anything. I just don't get the kudos system.
 
To be honest I give Kudos to posts I only Like or find helpful. I never just give kudos randomly.
 
I give a lot of kudos. Usually just to posts I agree with or find funny.

Perfect example above me, @poop has 400+. I give him kudos all the time for stupid posts that make me laugh.
