Suicide. Suicide is what happens when someone kills themselves. Suicide is among the top three causes of young deaths between the ages 15-34. Although suicide is not a mental disorder, it's caused by some of these few mental illnesses, or all; depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and drug use. Suicide by young people has been increasing lately, and there's no studies that have shown why. Because of the fact that suicide is caused by mental illnesses, there could, or could not be a way to cure it. Suicide is among every race, culture, and sex.
Depression is one of the main causes for suicide. Depression is an emotional state or mood that results in one or more of these symptoms: sad mood, low energy, poor concentration, sleep or appetite changes, feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness, and thoughts of suicide. Another one of the main causes is the Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar disorder, is a very bad brain disorder. The person's mood usually swings from happy, to sad and hopeless, and then back again, with times of normal moods in between. The third one is Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a long word to spell, for sure. Schizophrenia is an illness that can be disabling. The cause is not known but there are still studies. Drug use is the final major cause. Drugs like 'Shrooms', 'Ecstasy', and more, give you that high that makes you daze off, you try things that you shouldn't, and in result, suicide.
The rates of suicide vary in large amounts across different countries. For example, the lowest rates of suicide in the years of 2000 to 2004 were in Nova Scotia; about 4.4 out of 100,000. The highest rates were found in Nunavut; about 364.4 out of 100,000. From this extremely large change in rates, it's very clear that the reasons for suicide change from place to place. The latest numbers for death by suicide for 15 to 24 year olds in Canada show suicide rates of 11.6 per 100,000 population. This number indicates that for every 8,620 young people between the age of 15 and 24, there will be one death by suicide; For males, almost 3 times greater.
Suicides can also be misjudged. Not all people who commit to bodily harm, or self harm, are the result of an attempted suicide. This could just be a cry for help, or they feel alone. They could also need someone to help them with their troubles. Some troubles for example could be;
-- Physical abuse
-- Sexual abuse
-- Bullying
-- The death of a loved one
-- A divorce, separation or breakup in a relationship
-- Very bad emotional health
-- Feeling 'Trapped' in a bad situation
-- Feeling helpless
-- Drug abuse
-- Alcohol abuse
-- And more.
Suicides are caused by a number of things. But because of the fact that it could be anyone that's in a state of mind that they're thinking of committing bodily harm, re-insure them. Help them. Suicide's not the answer.

Depression. Depression, can be defined as a mood disorder caused by extremely bad feelings and emotions, that have a bad impact on people's lives leading to socialization, educational, work, personal and family problems. More than just the common “down” mood, depression makes it tough to function and enjoy life like you have before. Hobbies, work, school and friends don’t interest you like they used to. You’re tired and don't feel like doing anything all the time, and just getting through the day can be horrible. When you’re depressed, things may feel hopeless, like it won't turn around, but with help and support you can get better. But first, you need to understand depression to get the help you need. Learning about the signs, symptoms, causes, and treatment is the first step to taking over the problem.
Depression can be a major sign of suicide. The deep feelings and hopelessness that goes with depression could make suicide feel like the only way to be free of the pain. Thoughts of death or suicide are a serious, and common symptom of depression. It's not just a warning sign that the person is thinking about suicide: it's a cry for help. People don't like the feeling of depression. Most would find any cure. Only some could think of suicide.
Depression could be different with different people, but there are some usual signs and symptoms. It’s important to remember that these symptoms can take part in life's ups and downs. But the more symptoms you have, and the longer they've been around, it's more likely it's depression. When these symptoms are causing your every-day life to change, you need to look for help.
Some of the most important signs of depression are --
Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness
Loss of interest in daily activities
Appetite or weight changes
Sleep changes
Anger or irritability
Loss of energy
