Well I just broke my cheap $19.99 mic that I got from Best Buy like in December..
I'm most likely gonna get me a SteelSeries headset since I'm big on competitive CoD..
 
I would recommend you to get Turtle Beaches as you are able to turn up the bass which increases sound of enemy footsteps anyways hope you find something you like
 
Last week I stepped on my turtle beach x12's and needless to say I fucked them up pretty badly.

Yeah I used to own x11's before one side cracked and then it just randomly stopped working... Not really reliable lol..

Well I can't really blame their durability since I literally crushed mine with my foot haha.

This is actually the second time this has happened.

I thought those X Seven's or whatever seemed cool, since they're like for tournaments.. but super expensive lol

They're nice my friend has them but I'm done with that brand haha. I'm gonna try tritton.

I would go with Astro since they're preferred by most gamers but I'm going with SteelSeries.
 
Those $20 mics always break.
If I were you I would get some Astros, those are the ones you always hear about.
 
I would recommend buying some Trittons. Really good quality and will last you awhile.
 
typed something here that was intended for another thread. I love how one of the features of power i paid for i can not use any more.
 
This is going to be expensive but I heard people use Dre beats on xbox. It doesn't have a mic but is it good for general gaming? you will also need a adapter.
 
I always liked my Turtle Beach X11's. They lasted me a long time, I used then for about 2 years. I'm pretty sure they still work, I haven't played since May '12 though. I advise against Tritton, I don't like them at all.

@LazyBear, lets stop and think here. $200 price of shit that doesn't even have a mic, or $50 decent quality headset designed for what you're using it for. Seems like an easy decision to me.
 
If I were you I would get Astro's. I have them and they are amazing.
 
Yeah that sucks, Hopefully you get a new one.
