I have a huuuuge issue with jealousy.

I've struggled with this with every guy I've dated. Some have definitely been easier than others. I have found that certain people can make their significant other feel secure, while others do the opposite. The one I'm with definitely does the opposite.

I could get jealous over preeeetty much anything. I'm pretty sure it's associated with my own physical insecurities or something like that but, what do you guys think? What do you do to cope with jealousy? I don't know if boys get that jealous.
 
Hell yea I get jealous, and I am one ugly kid. So if I'm lucky enough to actually get a girl I make sure she's mine. If another guy dm's her on twitter he gets blocked; I don't care if it's her cousin. Sometimes I make her change he outfit before she leaves the house lol.
 

Hahaha, it's okay. I'm not allowed to text boys and I have to wear pants to the gym and be escorted so I think you're okay.
 
I have dealt with a lot of jealousy in my life, whether its a crush on a girl I liked or a girlfriend. I tend to ask questions to them to maybe get answers that I want, or you just have to trust them, and I listen so a lot of Sleeping With Sirens and stuff like that because they're music gets to me in this kind of scenario.

I think jealousy originates through lack of trust. If you trust him then you have no reason to jealous. As long as you know that no other girl has a chance with him then you should feel superior, which in turn should eliminate your jealousy. I've been with my girlfriend for 6 months and its a little trick a learned. I realize that no other guy has a chance with her, so if I see someone comment on her pictures trying to flirt I just laugh cause I know they're wasting their time.
 


I don't think blatantly trusting people straight off is particularly wise. So for now, no, I don't trust him. That will be earned.
 
I suffer from a load of jealousy, its just normal i guess, there is not much you can really can do besides learn to trust whoever it is your jealous over, but trust is earned over time. Remember that.
 
Jealousy and being over protective is my biggest flaw of being in relationships. My current girlfriend and I work togother. Anytime I see her talking to a customer and they smile at her I always tend to get a bit annoyed. Or if anyone tries talking with her and I know their intentions.
You aren't alone on that boat, trust me.
As for ways to cope with it, I just try my hardest to focus on anything other than that. I try to vacate it away from my thoughts as much as possible. The thing is though, I told my girlfriend that I get jealous, really, really easy so she pretty much got the memo. Try letting whoever you're with know that you have a huge thing with jealousy, tends to work for me more than not saying anything.

My ex's name is Kassie. I got jelly because she was talking to some dude while we were dating. Now she's dating him. My best friend's brother.

He does cater to my jealousy. And every guy I've dated has made accommodations for it, but I don't think that's really fair. And I feel guilty for being jealous.

Spelled the same way? If a girl is talking to another guy that's usually not the best indication from my experiences. When I'm genuinely into a guy I don't really have the desire to talk to other guys and just don't by default.

I guess jealousy in a sense is normal, it'd be weird if we didn't get jealous. Don't feel guilty. It's not really bad.

Her name was Kassandra, Kassie for short. Yeah, same for me when it comes to girls. It just feels wrong for me. I don't like it happening to me so I'm not going to be a hypocrite about it.

im not saying you are, but last time a "girl" was on FK it was another member messing with other members. It just got weird and everything.
 
@novelette That's a good way to think about it and many people don't stop and take the time to consider that, so I think that's excellent and a great mentality to bring into any relationship.

@porsche I've been on fk for a while so I don't know why we haven't crossed paths before, but I've verified my gender to multiple users multiple times.

I would imagine mine wouldnt be that bad. i mean i havent had a GF in awhile but i've dated many and it was serious somewhat. But when she hung out with guys it didnt bother me. Just depends who it is. I would never make my GF wear pants and shit. thats just me.
